Many of the people who came to Fernie in the early years came not only for the work and economic opportunities, but also to make a home with their families. Integral to this is access to health care in all its aspects. How health care has been delivered has certainly changed over the past century. Fernie and its citizens have been part of this ongoing process. Our exhibit documents in words, images and artifacts how the story played out here.
