ARTS AND CULTURE GRANTS NOW AVAILABLE!

ARTS AND CULTURE GRANTS NOW AVAILABLE!CKCA
CKCA and the Trust announce 2018-19 programs for individuals, groups and organisations in the Columbia Basic Trust Region (including Fernie).

The Fernie and District Arts Council, based in the Arts Station, administers grants for local artists and arts groups and provides supports to people throughout the application and delivery process.

Step 1: Read the current CKCA Funding Brochure 2018 to decide which program best fits your project idea. To be eligible for CKCA funding, the primary emphasis of project proposals must be arts & culture. Projects cannot occur until June 1, 2018. Not all project ideas will necessarily be eligible for funding. Key categories for local artists include:

  • Arts Funding to Communities (Fund individual and group arts projects within a community)
  • Touring grants
  • Mentoring and Master Classes (Assists community or arts groups to provide artistic or cultural mentoring or master classes to emerging professionals)
  • Artists in the Classroom (ArtStarts in Schools offers Artists in the Classroom (AIC) grants to
help schools bring professional artists into their classrooms.)

Step 2: Read the 2018-19 Primary Funding Policies and Guidelines. This document outlines general policies and guidelines applicable to all CKCA funding programs.

Step 3: Review the policies and guidelines / application for the program you are interested in (scroll down the page for links). Click here for the CKCA Online Application Guide.

Step 4: If you have any questions, please look at the FAQ page. If your question is not answered there, please contact the CKCA office for assistance or email Louise at admin@theartsstation.com. We are open 10-3pm Monday to Friday. If you have an idea and would like to speak to us about it, please do get in touch.

Step 5: Complete the application form for the program you wish to apply for. All applications (hard copy and online) must be submitted before the application deadline for that program. Late or incomplete applications will not be funded. Fax or E-mail applications will not be funded.

CKCA applications must be received by March 2 or March 16, 2018, depending on the program.
