Come for a ‘whacky’ evening of belly laughs, guffaw’s and exciting interactive humour. Catch a ’special’ performance as this troupe passes through Fernie on their way to New York! Direct from Vancouver, Boasting six International Improv Comedy Awards and starring in several television specials, Vancouver TheatreSports ° League first opened their doors at the Back Alley Theatre, where they consistently drew cult-like, capacity crowds. They continue to wow audiences at the New Revue Stage on Granville Island.

Looking at Love…with Laughter
East - a Lucas Myers presentation

EAST is three short plays that hilariously explore our all too human need to love and be loved. Myers’ mines his own personal experience on the Greyhound in We Are Going on a Journey (or “How I Learned to Love the Greyhound) which takes the audience on an epic 68 hour bus ride from Vancouver to Toronto in just 20 minutes. It features an eclectic mix of fellow passengers from the painfully shy politico who forces himself to sing a protest song to the lovelorn redneck singing a touching ballad to his girlfriend at hour 54. The Landlord’s Daughter explores the difficulties in dealing with a disastrous rental complicated by a desperate and unrequited love for the title character. The final play, The Forgetful Prince, is a puppet show. Wildly imaginative and with original songs on guitar and ukulele, EAST is a theatrical experience not to be missed!
