Pottery Series
Tuesdays & Thursdays 5:30 - 7:00pm

Take one, take them all! It’s an affordable workshop series that can be tailored to suit you! You can register for each week separately. Class size is limited so register early!

November 14 & 16: Mug Off
All levels welcome. Learn and develop the expert techniques for a pleasurable mug. Ideal gift creation for the pre-Christmas season!

SPECIAL EVENT!!! Chili Bowl Trade
Saturday, November 25th, 5-7pm at the Jamocha’s Coffee House (on the Highway) Children welcome. Tour the pottery studio, exchange pottery bowls, and enjoy some belly-warming chili, made by our volunteers. $5 if you bring a bowl, $8 sans bowl.

November 21 & 23: Mud Slingers!
Ready to give it a whirl? You’ll have a wheel good time! Come on, get dirty! You are strongly recommended to get signed up for the Trimming and Finishing (Week 5) to make the most of your wheel throwing experience.

November 28 & 30: Honey Pots
Make a sweet, lidded dish for your favourite condiment. Templates are provided to guide you in this hand-building workshop.

December 5 &7: Trimming & Finishing
Three items, three makeovers. Trimming, using the wheel, and altering techniques are introduced.

December 12 & 14: More Mud Slinging
Practice, practice, practice. Tips for beginners and more advanced wheel throwing techniques. Come with a simple sketch (an outline of a pot is enough) to get the most out of this session.

Where: The Arts Station, 601 1st Avenue
Cost: $40 per week, payable by cash or cheque to the Fernie & District Arts Council (FDAC). Payment is required one week prior to the class.

Without minimum registration one week prior to the workshop, courses will be cancelled. So sign up early and tell your friends to join in the fun! Course fees can be paid to the Fernie and District Arts Council by cash or cheque only. You can drop off your payment in person Monday to Friday 10am to 4pm or send it in the mail. Pottery Studio: New hours
The Pottery Studio is now offering drop-ins Thursday evenings from 7 -9 pm and Saturdays from 11am - 1pm. Drop-in are $2 (or $60 for a one-year unlimited). If you’d like to know more about the pottery studio, reply to this email address and ask for the pottery newsletter.
