Now in it's fourth year, The Banner Project Committee is looking for 36 diverse works of art to showcase on the 2008 City of Fernie Banners. Selected art will be reproduced on high-quality outdoor banners, hung on lamppost along Victoria Ave and then Highway #3. This project has brought colour to our streets and gives profile to the talent in the community.
The adjudicators will be looking for: eye-catching images to the street-level observer with bold colours and striking imagery that stands out from a distance. Variation in themes and artistic disciplines will be considered and submissions are requested to fit the banner proportions of '1 wide by 2 high' ratio.
To receive 'Banner Guidelines' contact us.
Drop off your CD with the jpeg file to the Arts Station by the deadline. The Banner Project Launch, hosted at the Arts Station, held on Sat. April 19th, 2008, during BC Arts & Culture Week.
