“Kaleidoscope of Clay” showcases the ceramic creations of the Fernie Potters Guild. Open to members of all backgrounds and skill levels, this exhibition contains a wide range of pottery. From everyday dishware to special occasion pieces, our members put their time and unique perspectives into everything they make. The uniqueness, and the personal connection behind their creations all contribute to making each piece special. Check out the exhibition and stock up on one-of-a-kind pottery as gifts or for your own personal enjoyment.
Located in the basement of the Arts Station, the Fernie Potters Guild is a non-profit group run by volunteers and is currently comprised of 40 members. The studio contains a new electric kiln, four electric wheels, a slab roller, glazes and a variety of studio tools and props. All firing and finishing of work is done on site. One of the core values of the studio is education and community involvement, for both adults and children. If you’ve ever thought of giving it a try, please keep an eye out for upcoming classes (no experience is needed)! If you would like more information about the guild and how to join, please contact Louise at The Arts Station or check out our facebook page: www.facebook.com/ferniepottery.
Opening in the Gallery: Thursday 26th October @ 7pm
Exhibition closes Tuesday 28th November.
