Beth Gallup and Roni Jurgensen have worked together to create an exhibition that highlights both of their talents.
Beth takes the lead on burgers and baking, two creative subjects she often returns to in her studio – and the kitchen. There are even some recipes woven into some of the paintings.
Roni often focuses on birds in her work. Although in Fernie, she is best known for her moose, the featured artwork for the 2017 Wapiti Music Festival. An established painter with a track record of solo and group exhibitions, including the See, Hidden Garden, and Leighton Galleries, Roni has recently been exploring twig sculptures and carving.
The inspiration for the exhibition is play. Playing with food, playing with ideas, playing with what can take flight.
