Jean Shatalow has been sewing off and on for a number of years. The
last 7 years she has been traveling with group of sewers that teach women (and a few
men) to sew in developing countries as well as in Calgary. This experience has shown
her that even though a person may not know how to read, write or have any sewing
experience, with good instructions and patience on both the instructor and students part,
a number of projects can be sewn to the satisfaction of all involved.
