Pottery Workshops at the Arts Station

Pottery FAQs

How do I register for a pottery workshop?

Workshop registration is first come first serve, so set a timer! To register, you can find the event in our Events Calendar.

*Event registration opens 3 weeks to the date and time of the event* Meaning if a workshop is set to begin on a Monday at 7pm then the registration will open on a Monday at 7pm 3 weeks prior.

When will the next workshop be offered?

We will continue to offer workshops as frequently as is possible. Pottery workshops have become very popular and the demand is high. We do not hold a waitlist.

How will I know when there is a workshop available?

Keep and eye on our workshops & events page. All pottery workshops will be in our events calendar.

Once I have participated in a workshop can I join the studio as an annual member?

All prospective annual members must complete the beginner intensive course. Pottery is not an activity that can be picked up without knowing the entire process. The process of making a piece is slow and takes place over several weeks.

Why does it take several weeks for me to receive my pottery pieces?

The pottery process takes time. Firstly the pieces have to dry, be trimmed before they can go through the kiln. They then need to be glazed (painted) and fired for a second time.

How long will my completed work be stored?

Finished pottery must be picked up within a specified timeframe 30 days from when we email you that it is ready for collection. We cannot guarantee long-term storage due to limited space.

What if my pottery breaks?

While we take great care in handling and firing all work, occasional breakage can occur during drying and kiln firing. Unfortunately, this is an inherent risk of the ceramics process and items cannot always be replaced or refunded.

Our workshops are designed as creative learning experiences. While the finished piece is a meaningful outcome, the true value lies in the process, exploration, and instruction you receive throughout the workshop.
